This vast commune has a very long history which is proved by the many traces and vestiges ( dolmens of Artron villas, ironworks and sarcophagi). The medieval sanctuary, carefully restored is worth a view. In the commune there are placesof great character , for example Busseroux, Artron, Guéronnière. The Grand-Fontevraud was built around 1150.
Usson is a typical Poitou village with its old town houses built by the richest landowners.
In developing the Priory garden, the village centre, the valley of the Clouère has become a place for walking.
